Property description:
Your "Agriturismo" with oil and wine production on Monte Amiata - Tuscany

For this estate, located at the southern foothills of Monte Amiata and covering about 25 hectares, it is planned to build and realize a modern permaculture business as a crisis-proof retreat in one of the most charming areas of Tuscany.
For this project a partnership is preferably sought, which could later be converted into sole ownership if desired. Also in this case the seller and partner would advise the new owners with the knowledge and experience if desired.
The location of the property at about 600m near the beautiful village of Roccalbegna, nestled in nature reserves, offers optimal conditions for vineyards, olives, cereals and sustainable agriculture in general. The wonderful tranquility and the unobstructable panoramic position with a unique view provide a very special feeling of living for all lovers of still quite intact nature.
The existing buildings, used by the previous owners as an "agriturismo", would be available to the future partners almost in their entirety. These are six residential units that guarantee privacy and can still be partially designed according to the individual ideas of the future users. Four of these units will be fully usable in the summer of 2022.
About 700 olive trees in production produce a first-class oil. Planting rights for the establishment of vineyards are available!
Well-developed paths tempt you to explore the surroundings by hiking, horseback riding or biking. Nearby destinations include the thermal baths of Saturnia, Monte Amiata or the Tuscan coast.

Do you have any questions about the possible implementation of this project, your own ideas and would you like to convince yourself of the potential of the products that will be created here in the future? Let us know. Numerous awards and gold medals at international tastings and competitions prove that we succeed here in producing wines and olive oils that are idiosyncratic, individual and above all typical of the terroir and variety.

Benefit from local partners! We are looking forward to your specific request.
Location:
The medieval village of Roccalbegna is a small village that looks like it came out of a fantasy novel. A bold fortress on a gigantic boulder towers over a handful of houses that make up the settlement. The difference in size between the village and the rock actually creates, in the viewer, the feeling of being in front of a dragon and the treasure it protects.
The small and charming village was an ancient possession of the Aldobrandeschi family, whose property then passed to the Republic of Siena. Later it became the fortress of the Medici family on Monte Amiata and then it belonged to the county of Santa Fiora. Only in the 18th century Roccalbegna became a free commune of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.

Sights in Roccalbegna
The castle of Roccalbegna is worth a nice walk. Among its alleys you can also admire historical testimonies of the great artists left here over time.
The most famous monument of the town is certainly the fascinating church Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo, located in the central square of the small settlement, which is also overlooked by the Town Hall and the small but impressive Torre Civica (a tower with a clock). The notoriously unstable soil of the area, often triggers small landslides. The church itself, with its conspicuously leaning door frame, bears witness to this phenomenon, which is why the building now looks so crooked and peculiar. Inside, frescoes and valuable paintings can be admired. The most important of these is an altarpiece with a Madonna and Child, painted in 1340 by Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
Behind the church is the Oratorio del Crocifisso, which has been converted into a museum. Francesco Nasini and Sebastiano Folli are the artists most represented in the Pinacoteca. Furthermore, one can admire a splendid cross by Luca di Tommè, realized by the Sienese artist around 1360.
